Flexion Fundamentals: Creating the “C-Curve”

The “C-Curve” is a foundational skill in the beginner repertoire. While it is first taught as an external shape, we elevate this concept into an internal “C-Curve” as we advance through the system - seeking to maintain the concept of the “C-Curve” even when our spines are no longer in flexion.

Enhance your teaching skills and deepen your understanding of movement principles and personalized program design in “Flexion Fundamentals: Creating the “C-Curve”. This comprehensive workshop is designed to equip Pilates teachers with the knowledge and techniques needed to improve their clients' spinal movement, flexibility, and strength in the “C-Curve” position.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn the Paradigm Principles Framework: Learn a step-by-step process of how to create exercise programs tailored towards the individual, enhancing your ability to meet each client's unique goals and needs.

  • Develop Assessment Skills: Gain essential skills for assessing your clients and understanding what to look for in creating their unique “C-Curve.”

  • Identify Movement Dysfunctions: Recognize hallmark traits of common movement dysfunctions, allowing you to address and correct them effectively.

  • Master New (and Old!) Exercises: Learn new exercises throughout the studio specific to creating mobility, stability, motor control, and strength with a focus on achieving the coveted “C-Curve” position.

  • Understand Exercise Selection: Learn the criteria for selecting exercises that best suit a client.
