By taking the knowledge acquired through an assessment and coupling it with our progression principles and some creativity to create comprehensive exercise programs for our clients.
Participate in a three-day small group continuing education workshop, limited to a maximum of 10 people. The primary aim of this workshop is to provide an interactive, collaborative, and intensive learning experience, where we will blend theory with practical application.
During this workshop, each participant will receive:
One 30-minute private lesson
Three customized workshops
One semi-private workout
One mat class
The private lessons will be tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual participant and the workshops designed to address the collective needs of the group.
Day 1 Footwork Toes, Arches, Heels, & Tendon Stretch & The Hundred: We will focus on the Footwork exercise series and The Hundred, covering their purpose, execution, and how to effectively assess each exercise. We'll learn assessment skills to gauge how a client expresses these exercises and what they can and cannot do in terms of movement (e.g. range of motion, stability, etc.). Participants will learn how to determine the correct Footwork alignment for themselves and clients with different body types and needs.
Day 2 High Chair & Cadillac Skill Development & Exercise Selection: In this workshop, we will look at select Cadillac and High Chair exercises aimed at developing Powerhouse awareness with the beginner client. You will learn the Paradigm progression principles of first building a base of motor control and endurance, followed by strength and dynamic action, and how determine a Cadillac and/or High Chair exercise for which stage of progression.
Day 3 Program Design for a New Client: We will concentrate on creating a customized and comprehensive exercise program based off the assessment observed from a client's Footwork series. We'll put our knowledge into practice and use the insights gathered from days one and two to craft sessions in real-time.
